A writer’s computer worth nothing?
of course you’ll say so because a writer is supposed to write with a pen, or you’d say, not even a pen, but a quill. does that feel more write?
these days, a writer lives with his computer and as we become more and more paperless a writer revises his work in multiple drafts in track changes.
but of course you are a romantic and you want paper and pen. and a quill.
that’s fine. I’m not dealing with you.
here I’ve retired an apple computer of mine, in which I’ve written a few novels and a number of collections of poetry plus a couple of big books that I’ve translated.
if you say it’s worth little, well, I’m not giving it to you. you make an offer and I come to the party. otherwise, let’s leave it as it is. it’s only a computer, after all.
